  • The Requirement: Full, direct, blazing sunlight is absolutely non-negotiable. To fuel the heavy energy demands of flowering and fruit production, the Lemon Plant requires a minimum of 6 to 8 hours of direct sun daily.
  • Placement: Keep it in your absolute sunniest spot—a south-facing balcony, an open rooftop terrace, or an unshaded garden bed. If kept in partial shade, it will grow lush green leaves but will never produce flowers or fruit.
  • Optimal Range: Thrives beautifully in warm, tropical, and subtropical climates between 20°C to 35°C.
  • Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring before the fresh spring growth flush begins. Use sharp, clean shears to remove any crisscrossing inner branches to maximize sunlight penetration and airflow into the center of the canopy.
